Today the 5th graders gave a class presentation about their hero.
5年生は、自分のあこがれの人についてのクラス・プレゼンテーションをしました。
In this unit, students would introduce their idol and get to know each other more by talking about people they admire.
このユニットでは、生徒たちは自分のあこがれの人を紹介し、あこがれの人について話すことで、お互いをより知ることができました。

Tuesday’s class started with a speaking exercise. Quick questions from prior lessons.

Students ask their friends a question in English, and must respond in English.
生徒は友達に英語で質問し、英語で答えなければなりません。
“When is your birthday?”
「誕生日はいつですか？」
“How do you spell your name?”
「名前はどう書きますか？」
Unit 7 “My Best Memory” will have students talk about their favorite memories from school.
ユニット7「私の最高の思い出」では、生徒たちに好きな思い出について話してもらいます。
They will learn to convey places they went to, things they did, and what they felt from their experience.
訪れた場所、経験したこと、そしてその経験から感じたことを伝える方法を学びます。
The 4th graders learn to say places in English, including places around school (classroom, library…) and town (cafe, supermarket…).
4年生は、学校（教室、図書室…）や町中（カフェ、スーパーマーケット…）など、場所を英語で言うことを学びます。
They also practice listening for directions to get to a place (turn left, go straight).
また、場所への道順（左へ、まっすぐ）を聞き取る練習もしました。

The third graders start a new Unit lesson.
三年生は新しい単元レッスンを始めます。
Today they practiced with a silhouette quiz and then a drawing game.

Students had to guess the answer before the picture was finished.
絵を描き終える前に、生徒たちはそれが何なのかを推測しなければなりません。
On Thursday the students picked out their favorite shapes to make Christmas cards.
木曜日、生徒たちはクリスマスカードを作るために好きな形を選びました。
Half the class gave out shapes, while asking “What do you want?”
クラスの半数が形を配りながら、「ウォット・ドー・ユー・ウォント（何が欲しい）？」と尋ねました。
Then the other student would respond: “I want a… yellow star!”
もう一人の生徒がこう答えるでしょう：「アイ・ウォント・アー・イェロー・スター（私は…黄色い星が欲しい）！」
After collecting many shapes, the students switched roles, until everyone got shapes to make cards!
多くの形を集めた後、生徒は役割を交代していき、全員がカードを作るための形を集め終えました！
The fifth graders wrapped up Unit 6 “At a Restaurant” with their written test.
5年生はユニット6「レストランで」のまとめとして筆記テストを受けました。
We reviewed topics for ordering food including food and prices, and the polite ways of asking what someone wants to eat.
相手に食べたいものを尋ねる丁寧な表現、食べ物と値段の言い方、食事の注文に関するトピックを復習しました。
Waiter: What would you like?
Customer: I’d like _____ please. How much is it?
定員さん：何になさいますか？

Another Halloween themed English board was made for the second floor.
2階に別のハロウィンをテーマにした英語ボードが作られました。

The third graders play a keyword game, or “key-letter” game?

We practiced the uppercase alphabet with this listening game.
このリスニングゲームで大文字の英語のアルファベットを練習しました。
They keep their hands on their heads until they hear the keyword, then try to grab an eraser faster than their friend.
彼らはキーワードを聞くまで手を頭の上に置いたままにし、その後友人よりも早く消しゴムをつかもうとします。

The fifth graders have started their next unit in their textbook, where they’ll practice talking about places in their town and directions to get there.

The students designed their own ice cream based on their favorite color and thing, such as food or sports.
